Berry FX writes its own code, DSP and artwork. A handful of things it builds on, or names to show compatibility, belong to other people. This page acknowledges them.
Trademarks and compatibility
The DAW and operating-system logos on our plugin pages — Logic Pro, Pro Tools, Ableton Live, GarageBand, Studio One, FL Studio, Cubase, Reason, Cakewalk, Fender Studio Pro, Mixcraft, REAPER, and macOS and Windows — are the trademarks of their respective owners. They appear only to show which hosts and systems a plugin runs in. Berry FX is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any of them.
The social network marks in our footer — Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and YouTube — are the trademarks of their respective owners, and link only to Berry FX’s own accounts on those services.
Any other product, company or hardware name that appears in our copy is likewise the property of its owner, and is used only to describe a sound or a compatibility — never to imply a connection or endorsement.
Software and standards
Our plugins and this site are built with, among other things:
- JUCE — the C++ framework our plugins are built on, used under license.
- Steinberg VST3 SDK — the VST3 plug-in format. VST is a trademark of Steinberg Media Technologies GmbH.
- Audio Units (AU) and AAX — the Apple and Avid plug-in formats, trademarks of Apple Inc. and Avid Technology, Inc.
- Monocypher — the public-domain cryptography library behind our license signatures.
- Gelasio — the typeface on our faceplates and this site, under the SIL Open Font License.
- ITU-R BS.1770 and EBU R128 — the loudness standards Ripeness measures to.
- Stripe — our payment processor; card details are handled entirely on Stripe’s systems and never reach this site.
- IP to Country Lite by DB-IP — used under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License. We use it to count which countries our downloads come from. The lookup happens on our own server; no visitor’s address is ever sent to DB-IP or anyone else.
- Natural Earth — the public-domain map data behind the world map on our own admin pages.
This site also runs on open-source software, including Next.js. Each component’s full license is available from its own project.
