Why we built this
Know what you’re sending.
Every platform turns your master to its own number. Music streaming to −14, podcasts to −16, broadcast to −23, streaming video to −27. Send it too loud and it gets turned down, and the dynamics you set so carefully go with it. Too quiet and it’s the timid one in the playlist.
Most meters show you the number. What they don’t tell you is whether it’s the right number for the job in front of you. So you end up with a spec sheet in one hand and a LUFS reading in the other, doing the arithmetic yourself at two in the morning.
So Ripeness starts from the delivery, not the number. Pick music, podcast, broadcast, streaming, a TV spot or radio, and it tells you plainly whether you’re in spec, or by how much you’re out. True peak, loudness range, dynamics and stereo, all around one dial, with up to ten minutes of history showing how you got here. And when the loudness is right, the Spectrum view shows how your tone sits next to commercial masters or your own references.

The target, not just the number
Pick the delivery (music, podcast, broadcast, streaming video, TV spot, radio) and the meter tells you whether you are in spec, rather than making you remember what −16 LUFS was for.
Everything at once
Momentary, short-term and integrated LKFS, true peak accurate to 20 kHz, loudness range, PSR dynamics and stereo correlation, around one dial. Up to ten minutes of short-term history shows how you got here.
See your tone
The Spectrum view draws the average tone of your mix from 20 Hz to 20 kHz over a target range, from a standard slope, a genre curve, or up to eight of your own reference tracks. Low, low-mid, high-mid and high each tell you if they’re above, in or below the range, and you can solo any of them for 30 seconds to hear it.
Measure a song without playing it
Drop a finished song on the history window and it measures the whole thing in seconds. You get its short-term curve, integrated loudness, peaks and range checked against your target, and you can export it all as a PDF, PNG or CSV report.
Your own targets
Change the target, ceiling and tolerance of any delivery and the buttons use your numbers from then on. One click puts a target back to its published spec. Targets run from −31 up to −4 LUFS, so a loud master has one too.
