Why we built this
Know what you’re sending.
Every platform turns your master to its own number. Spotify to −14, Apple Podcasts to −16, broadcast to −23, Netflix to −27. Send it too loud and it gets turned down — and the dynamics you set so carefully go with it. Too quiet and it is the timid one in the playlist.
Most meters show you the number. What they do not tell you is whether it is the right number for the job in front of you — so you end up with a spec sheet in one hand and a LUFS reading in the other, doing the arithmetic yourself at two in the morning.
So Ripeness starts from the delivery, not the number. Pick music, podcast, broadcast, streaming, a TV spot or radio, and it tells you plainly: in spec, or by how much you are out. True peak, loudness range, dynamics and stereo, all around one dial, with a five-minute history of how you got here.
And it is free, permanently — because knowing what you are sending should not cost anything. That is Ripeness.
