Refunds.
Fourteen days, no reason needed. First clear the license: in the plugin, open Settings → License and click Remove License, and release any seats on your account page. Take a screenshot of the plugin’s License page showing it is no longer licensed, then email support@berryeffects.com with your order number and that screenshot. We will refund it in full to the card you paid with. No form, no questionnaire about why.
Why the trial matters more than this page
Every plugin runs for at least thirty days before you pay anything, with nothing withheld. The trial is longer than the refund window on purpose: deciding whether a reverb belongs on your bus is a question you answer over a record, not in an afternoon.
So if you are reading this before buying, try it first. If you are reading it after, that is what the fourteen days are for.
Your statutory rights, and the box you ticked
If you are a consumer in the EU or UK, you normally have a 14-day right to withdraw from a distance purchase. Digital content delivered immediately is an exception: you waive that right when you ask for immediate delivery and acknowledge the waiver, which is what the consent box at checkout is.
We do not rely on that waiver. The fourteen days above are given voluntarily and are the same for everyone, wherever you are, whether or not your local law would have required it. The waiver exists so that you get your license the moment you pay instead of after a cooling-off period.
Nothing here reduces any right you have by law. Where your local law gives you more than this page does, your local law wins.
What happens to the license
Remove License, in the plugin, deletes the license from that machine, and a refunded one will not activate a new machine. That step is yours rather than ours for a real reason: the plugin checks its license on your own computer, not with us, so a copy we did not remove would keep working. We would rather ask you to clear it, and say so plainly, than imply we can reach in and switch it off.
After fourteen days
Ask anyway. If the plugin does not work on your system and we cannot fix it, you should not be out of pocket for it, and a date on a calendar does not change that. What we will not do is refund a plugin that works because a project got canceled.
Chargebacks
Please email before disputing a charge. A chargeback costs us the sale plus a fee and takes months to resolve; an email takes a day and ends with the same money back in your account. A disputed charge withdraws the license automatically.
